Our Mission

Balgram SOS Children’s Villages Maharashtra is a leading non-governmental organization that operates in Maharashtra-India, providing care and protection to children in need. Our approach is based on the belief that every child deserves to grow up in a loving family environment, which is why we have pioneered the family approach to long-term care for parentless or deprived from family and abandoned children in India.

Balgram's goal is to lessen the suffering of orphans, destitute, and underprivileged children in the age range of 3 to 23 years. Balgram adheres to the family-based childcare philosophy, where 8–10 kids are cared for by a single mother. In these houses, brothers and sisters of varying ages coexist in harmony as their mother helps out with domestic duties.

They receive affectionate care from their families, along with much-needed emotional support, security, a good upbringing, and technical and higher education, all of which contribute to their overall improvement.

Our Vision

At Balgram, we want every child to belong to a family. We believe that a functional family is the heart of society and that every child deserves a solid foundation on which they can build their life. Our mission is to build families for children in need, help them shape their own futures, and add to the development of their communities.

Guide our actions, decisions, and relationships as we work toward fulfilling our mission.

We are dedicated to providing children with a better life by nurturing lasting relationships with our donors, co-workers, and the communities we serve.

We invite you to join us in our mission to provide care and protection to children in need. Your support can make a difference in the lives of children who deserve a safe and loving home.
